The review of a single ticket, used by the occasional user of the system, and utilization rate of ten per cent, there has been an increase of five cents, one to three fare zones, and ten cents four to six zones. The T-50/30 rise by 1.9% to 32.10 euros, the T-family costs in 2010, 46.30 euros (up 1.98% more), the T-Mes 48.85 euro (or 1.98% more), the T-Quarter, 134.10 euros (1.98% more), the T-Jove, 114 euros (1.79% increase) and T-Day, 5, 90 euros (1.72%).
This year, two new tickets have been integrated, creating a range for large families and the expansion of the T-Jove up to 25 years of age (the limit now is 21 years).
According to the Transportation Authority all integrated tickets have a nominal increase of less than 2%, which becomes an average increase rate of 0.57%, motivated by the creation of the new T-12 card (which in the 2010 will be for a whole year), the new range of tickets for large families and the extension of age for the T-Jove.
For families, the prices of tickets will be between EUR 39.10 (the T-Month Special FN) and 107 euros (for the general T-Quarter FN). The ATM expected that these improvements will increase the current share of 13% utilization of such users in the public transport system.
The president of ERC in the City of Barcelona, Jordi Portabella, has criticized the rise in prices and has called for a freeze on tariffs due to the crisis.
