Since the last quarter of last year manufacturers and distributors in the automotive sector intensified their campaign of discounts and promotions to encourage consumers to buy cars, in a time of sharp falls in consumption. This business strategy intensified with the entry last May of the direct aid Plan 2000E’ which was shared among the manufacturers (thousand euros), the Central Government (500 euros) and the autonomous regions that joined the same scheme (500 euros).
The automotive parts and accessories market also add to the downward trend in prices since the last annual period, down 0.9 percent so far this year but in the month of September they were stable.
