Kate Beckinsale — Sexiest Woman Alive 2009 Esquire magazine
Kate Beckinsale wearing hot pants, a trim white blouse over a tank top, black boots with heels. If there is a difference between femininity and sexiness, this may be it. Argue all you want, but along with a photospread, the mag shot a video just to convince anyone who was on the fence. In taking the title, the British actress — who is married to film director Len Wiseman and has a daughter, Lily, with ex-partner Michael Sheen. And in my opinion, this is great news! I’ve gushed over how awesome Kate Beckinsale for years.
Kate says, “This whole notion of being named Sexiest Woman Alive is going to earn me quite a beating. You can’t have that title with four brothers. I’ll get wedgies. I’m feeling that I must earn this – I need to go out and become much better at pole dancing or something.” You can see in the video above why Esquire chose Kate Beckinsale as their sexiest woman alive 2009. Wow! I’ve always thought that even though she’s a little on the skinny side she’s definitely one of Hollywood’s hottest actresses."I like the idea of it, too," she said. "I do. I'm feeling that I must earn this. I need to go out and become much better at pole dancing or something."
While the beauty has been admired for her looks, like 2008's Sexiest Woman, "X-Men" star Halle Berry, she's shown off her tougher side in films such as the "Underworld" franchise.
"What's dangerous about doing action movies is that I'm used to men on wires. I punch a guy and he flies over a wall," she explained. "So I tend to feel like that's me that did that."
