From Spain Herald: ‘"F--- Spain," says actor in interview on Catalan public TV’ | “Actor Pepe Rubianes said yesterday on a program broadcast on TV3, Catalan public television, "Let them stuff Spain up their f---ing a--es and see if their b---s explode." On the program El Club, broadcast at 4:30 PM during the family hour, Rubianes insulted PP president Mariano Rajoy and called Cope Radio listeners "a cult." The Foundation for the Defense of the Spanish Nation announced it would press charges.
On the program, hosted by Albert Om, Rubianes said, "Let those Spaniards go get f--ed up the a--. I hope their b---s explode and go to heaven. F--- f---ing Spain. F--- Spain." He then began to insult PP president Mariano Rajoy, Catalan PP president Josep Pique, and Cope Radio host Federico Jimenez Losantos, while Om smiled and the audience laughed.
The new Catalan Audiovisual Council (CAC) has so far taken no action after a wave of protests from viewers, though its responsibility is to observe and censor media outlets. For example, the CAC is investigating whether Cope Radio editorial content is unconstitutional according to article 20, which refers to the "truth" of the news and the protection of "the honor and integrity" of individuals. After the CAC made the excuse that it had only received one complaint, an Internet campaign sponsored by HazteOir.org set up a website so that citizens can complain about Rubianes's words should they wish.
Meanwhile, PP deputy Santiago Rodriguez said, "The problem is not the guest's opinion, but the passivity and complicity of the host."”
