Catalonia: little public awareness or importance attached to result of statute referendum vote

The Centro de Investigaciones Científicas (CIS) has calculated that the new statute of autonomy for Catalonia will receive a 74.8% yes vote, with 21.7% voting against.

In a survey undertaken between 22 and 31 May, the CIS also calculate that the participation rate for the referendum to be held in the region 18 June will be 55.1%, which implies an abstention rate of 44.9%.

16% of those questioned remained undecided over whether they will make the effort to vote 18 June.

The CIS say that 4 out of every 6 Catalans admit to having a ‘low’ or ‘very low’ knowledge of the statute reform to be voted on whilst half of the people questioned attach ‘little’ or ‘no’ importance to the referendum outcome.

With regard to the statute content, those people questioned also admitted to having little awareness of the themes relating to social rights.

So what's your point, Alex? That Sr. "Arriba España" is right? Or you agree with me...? Which one is it? Can't have it both ways.
