eBay buys Barcelona-based LoQUo.com

From Sun-Sentinel (in full): ‘Technology’ | “EBay Inc., the largest Internet marketplace, bought two Web companies that feature classified listings to expand in the United Kingdom, Spain, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The companies, London-based Gumtree.com and Barcelona-based LoQUo.com, operate sites featuring listings for housing, employment and items for sale, eBay said in a statement Wednesday. EBay didn't disclose the terms of the transactions.

Since November, eBay has bought four classified advertising sites including Marktplaats.nl in the Netherlands and began its Kijiji unit. Its sites covering 91 cities internationally combine discussion boards, listings, personals and other community features.”
