Internet users are more active, have more friends and are less depressed

According to a report by ‘Proyecto Internet Catalunya’

A report by the PIC (Proyecto Internet Catalunya) has shown that people who use the Internet are more active, have more friends, are more involved in politics and suffer less from depression.

The sociologist Manuel Castells, one of the directors of this project ..., notes that this project "has proved that the new technologies do not trap people in their homes but activate their social lives."
