The first edition of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce prize, "Barcelona is Fashion" was awarded on October 25th in the Casa Llotja de Mar, one of city's architectural gems and a symbol of Catalan society.

The prize, created in 2005, awards businesses and professionals who promote "la marca Barcelona" and have helped position Barcelona as a reference point in the world of fashion; these winners exude innovation, leadership, and professionalism.

After mingling and sipping champagne in the lobby, the crowd, a combination of businessmen and fashion industry types, moved into the main room surrounded by gigantic stone arches and a grey and white checkered marble floor where the winners were announced.
