Although only in its 4th Edition, GLOBAL LOOK BARCELONA has situated itself as the only professional platform in Spain catering to the fashion accessory world. This year it takes place at the Pavilion No. 2 of Fira of Barcelona during the 23rd through the 25th of April. Its international success brings buyers from all over Europe, Greece, Italy, France, Holland, Portugal even Israel. This edition will present collections for Fall-Winter 2005-2006, featuring bags, shoes, jewelry, travel articles, gloves, umbrellas and much more.

Because of their tremendous success in the last editions, duplicating the number of professionals, organizers year expect a larger turn-out, well over 4000. This increase in number of buyers attending the Salon further translates into a considerable boost in sales. During this edition, some of the most prestigious collections from Spain as well as France and Italy, in total -- more than 200 will be exhibited.

One reason for the Salon’s success is the fact that it takes place in Barcelona. Organizers note that Catalunya is a market of two seasons. Firstly, sales happen because of natural seasonal campaigns but are prolonged through the sales in the tourism sector. According to data collected by the organization, sales in the touristy areas of Catalunya, Valencia, and the Balearic Islands account for 43% of the total volume of all local sales during the year.
