Weather Spain 23/07/2010 Met Office warning of severe storms in Catalonia throughout today Friday.
The rain front will be accompanied by a sharp drop in temperature.
A cold front from the United Kingdom will affect Weather Catalonia from Thursday until Friday evening, as reported by AEMET. The alert states the possibility of severe storms throughout Catalonia, especially in the interior.
Thus, according to the Agency an orange alert will be established on Thursday in the Pyrenees for the possibility of persistent rainfall and very strong winds.
On Friday, as the front slowly works its way to the coast, heavy rain is expected. The forecast is that around 1 inch of rain will fall every hour in the provinces of Navarra, La Rioja, Burgos, Soria, Huesca, Teruel and Zaragoza. As for the warnings by high temperatures, keep the yellow alert AEMET in Albacete, Murcia and Mallorca with maxims that can reach 36 degrees.
