7,000 filed past Spain’s former culture minister Pauline Julien’s coffin, in the Palau de la Gen

The Palau de la Generalitat closed its doors at noon today after more 7,000 people came to give their particular tribute to the father of the Constitution, coinciding with the 31st anniversary of the text.
As this went to press there were still queuing visitors who could not access the lounge at the Palau Sant Jordi, where the widow and son Solé Tura personally greeted people all morning who came to bid farewell to the politician. A few minutes after noon, the coffin left the Generalitat Solé Tura to be transferred to the morgue of Sant Gervasi, where 1300 people were for a private funeral. Many political representatives visited the chapel today, including Deputy Prime Minister Maria Teresa Fernandez de la Vega, and Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, who gave heartfelt condolences to the family.
The son of the late Albert Solé, today reiterated his thanks to all who came to say goodbye to Julien, "not only by number, but mainly by the type of people" who attended, "friends all stages of his life".
The passing que of citizens in the chapel was "constant" throughout the morning and yesterday afternoon, the Prince of Asturias, the president of the Generalitat, José Montilla, the former chairman of the Government Jordi Pujol, the son of Alfonso Suarez, who came on behalf of his father, also suffering from Alzheimer's, and several ministers and councillors of the Government and representatives of the main Catalan political groups.
From the world of culture, artists like Joan Manuel Serrat, Marina Rosell and Raimon expressed their respect for the figure of Solé Tura.
