The body of the woman, 48, was found in the Sant Marti district of Barcelona, with obvious signs of violence.

Officials of the Autonomous Police last night arrested a juvenile as a suspect in the death of his mother, police said today.

The body was found about 22:00 pm in her home in Sant Marti district of Barcelona, according to Efe sources close to the case said, the child supposedly ended the life of its mother while having a violent argument at her house. The minor was arrested shortly after in Sant Adrià.

In another part of the city of Barcelona, a woman’s body was found in an apartment in the Eixample covered in blood, the Autonomous Police have rule out, in principle, that it is a gender crime.

The Autonomous Police investigating the murder of a women of Russian nationality and about 35 years, and early indications are it would be a case of gender violence or a robbery, although investigators do not rule out any hypothesis until arrests are made. Police received notice yesterday about 13:30 h. from a roommate of the girl.

Police have launched an investigation, and procedure remain under a media blackout.
