Bulgarian man strangles wife in the Mallorcan town of Santanyi
The incident took place at 46 Sun Street where the couple, both of Bulgarian nationality, lived for about two years with their two children, a toddler and a girl of 14.
The 35 year old woman found dead in the Mallorcan town of Santanyi was strangled and her husband has been arrested by the Guardia Civil, and is expected in court in the coming hours.

The husband is being held at the headquarters of the Guardia Civil de Palma, after giving police a statement in the barracks of Santanyi. Her death was due to strangulation and the justification given by the husband of the deceased is that his wife had tried to kill his young son. The incident occurred after a heated argument.
The couple had lived in Spain for a total of seven years in Spain and they had both led exemplary lives while in the country and had no previous criminal records. The couple's two children were treated initially by a psychologist and are now in the hands of child protection services.
This death is the first case of domestic deadly male violence this year in the Balearics, where there has not domestic murder case since 16 September 2008.
