FIFA may fine Maradona after comments to the press after Argentina’s win.

The process will judge whether Maradona's words a week ago after the match against Uruguay in Montevideo are deserving of punishment

FIFA may fine Maradona after comments to the press after Argentina’s win.
The disciplinary committee of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) opened an case against Argentina's Diego Maradona, Argentina's coach, confirmed FIFA agency spokesman Nicolas Maingot.

The process will judge whether Maradona's words a week ago after the match against Uruguay in Montevideo are deserving of punishment. After Argentina's 1-0 victory, which meant Argentina’s pass to the 2010 World Cup, the former footballer answered his critics with swear words.

"I have a memory, of those that did not believe, those who disbelieved ... with apologies to the ladies that suck. You treated me like I was treated, keep sucking. Now it's another movie," Maradona was dispatched at the press conference after the victory.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter said on Friday it asked the disciplinary committee to open an investigation. "Seeing the news reports we have no alternative but to request the discipline committee of FIFA to open an investigation against the AFA coach Diego Maradona based on Article 58 of the code of discipline, As president of FIFA it is my duty to pass the case to the disciplinary committee," said Blatter.
