Brass, 76, whose most famous and controversial film was "Caligula", with the help of screenwriter Gore Vidal, went through the life of the depraved and murderous Roman Emperor, said that this is the right time to use 3-D in a film like that
Italian director Tinto Brass, best known for a truffled filmography of erotic titles, announced he will make what he called the first pornographic movie in 3-D, reported the trade publication The Hollywood Reporter.
Brass, 76, whose most famous and controversial film was "Caligula", with the help of screenwriter Gore Vidal, went through the life of the depraved and murderous Roman Emperor, said that this is the right time to use 3-D in a film like that.
Brass explained that this film will be not only erotic first title in 3-D world, but also the first film in this format made in Italy. He also said he thinks he can "resume an abandoned project, about a Roman empire, which was ruined by Americans," he said in reference to "Caligula", a film which reneged on his post and when it opened in 1979 suffered abuse of censorship and even in countries like the United Kingdom, it was banned.
The Italian director said he immediately begin writing the script and plans to start shooting in May or June.
