Microsoft, Garaña Mary, will supply of the operating system aimed at the Catalan speaking community

The president at Microsoft Garaña Mary, will present on Tuesday 1 December, in Barcelona, a new wave of products, services, content and partnerships that will
expand the supply of the operating system aimed at the Catalan-speaking community. According to the company, in this way it opens "an enormous range of possibilities for growth and employment generation in the local industry."
Carles Grau, CEO of Microsoft in Catalonia, will accompany Garaña to explain the company's strategy in the Catalan market and its collaboration with different companies. On 30 October, Secretary of telecommunications in Catalunya, Jordi Bosch, welcomed the fact that the U.S. multinational is "taking seriously" the Catalan language with the release of Windows 7 in Catalan, four days after its official presentation.
So far, Sony, Diode and Ticnova have already confirmed that this version will include some of their computers for Christmas and Epiphany season.
A year ago, the STSI launched the campaign "Catalan, a business opportunity 'to explain the opportunities offered by the Catalan language in the multinational technology sector. According to a release, more and more ICT services include Catalan in their interfaces, putting the language in the top 20 worldwide.
