During an informal breakfast meeting sponsored by ASIS Europe Forum, BT and Red Electrica, Diaz Ferran said that businessmen are not the "exception to the crisis," adding that it had suffered from its effects and the "harsh" conditions which led to the closure of more than 300,000 companies. He stressed the difficulty being experienced by employers, but noted that, nevertheless, we need to maintain firm determination to continue "fighting, take risks and invest",
Díaz Ferrán recalled that CEOE companies employ more than 12 million workers, while stressing that the organization would continue working "together", making decisions by "consensus" that will continue to guide the employer " at a time when unity is stronger than ever. "
