Sewerage works on La Rambla in Barcelona, until 5 February. Parking restrictions in place
Today also sees the start of remodelling work on Rua Joaquim Costa in the district of Ciutat Vella
Traffic restrictions will end on 5 February, but work will continue as teams undertake maintenance work on the network of sewers along La Rambla, between Plaça Catalunya and Boqueria, according to the City Council.

The reform of the old market building's in the district of La Ribera, will entail traffic restrictions between Friday and Monday in Fusina street, due to the installation of a large crane. In a second phase of the works traffic will be prohibited on Bank Street between 19 and 22 January.
Today also sees the start of remodelling work on Rua Joaquim Costa in the district of Ciutat Vella. The works will last 16 months and convert the road into a single platform axis with priority for pedestrians. In addition, trees will be planted along with new street new furniture, lighting that will be more efficient during the night and a network of pneumatic refuse collection points. For this, the traffic is to be cut off from the Peu de la Creu del Carmen for two months
