Sitel Ibérica to make 700 employees redundant in Barcelona, Madrid and Seville

The company Sitel Iberica Teleservices has submitted a dossier of employment regulation (ERE) for 700 of its 5,000 workers from the centres of Barcelona, Madrid and Seville, while the centre at Saragossa is not affected.

The company customer service (contact centre) argues that for economic reasons it has to implement staff cuts, according to a press release from the Federation Services (SI) of UGT.

In this regard, the federation says that the company seeks to "minimize" the number of redundancies and they will be asking for volunteers to take redundancy.
