The partners of three of the fire-fighters who perished in the fire in Horta de Sant Joan (Tarragona) in July, were initially not entitled as they had not co-habited with them for five years with them
The women, who had not lived with their partners for the 5 years, are to be given a widows pension, in an unprecedented move.

The partners of Jordi Moré, Jaume Ramon Espinet Harp shall be entitled to survivor's pension after the respective city councils certify that time they had lived together, although they were not registered in the municipal register.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs interceded for these families to receive a pension, after the tragedy in the nature park of Els Ports, in Horta de Sant Joan (Tarragona), July 21 in which five firemen died.
