Two policemen attacked with baseball bats as they free a kidnapped man in Ceuta

Two National Police officers were injured this morning when they were trying to release a kidnapped man and were attacked by the alleged kidnapper and his friend.

The facts, as reported by the National Police Station, took place in Benitez's district, where officers had gone to arrest a young man identified only as KAA, 20, who had assaulted a man, a few days before.
Police investigations determined that KAA was absent from his main residence and had taken refuge in a friend's house, where he had forcibly detained a 20-year-old youth. The young man, managed to communicate through a window to police he was being held inside the house against his will by KAA, who had threatened him with death if he tried to leave. The boy then managed to open the door of the residence and when police intervened the alleged kidnapper and his friend, EST, 25, attacked the officers with baseball bats, injuring both of them.
K.A.A. has been arrested on charges of robbery with violence and intimidation, false imprisonment and assault against law enforcement officers.
