The aircraft concerned were flights 9727 and 9111, bound for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Turin, respectively

Two Ryanair planes slightly touched each other prior to takeoff at Girona airport.

One of the aircraft touched lightly with his left wing the tail of another plane that was in that area waiting to get clearance to takeoff, reported Girona airport sources.


The damage to the aircraft was imperceptible, but safety procedures forced the return of both to the airport terminal.

The aircraft concerned were flights 9727 and 9111, bound for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Turin, respectively.

The aircraft involved in the incident were parked in an area opposite the terminal, where passengers were able to disembark normally. Both aircraft will be reviewed by technicians of the company to verify their optimal level of security to continue operating.
Passengers were allocated other flights later in the day.
