Barcelona - 60,000 people visited the fifteenth edition of the Manga Show

The exhibition paid tribute to the creator of the character ‘Shin Chan’, Yoshito Usui, recently deceased, according to a statement from the organizers.

The director of the show, Carles Santamaria, positively evaluated the event, both for having "maintained the numbers of exhibitors and public attendance with respect to past editions" on all four days.

"Otaku"-diehard fans of the genre came from all over Spain and other European countries to the event, considered one of the three largest in the world, according to Japan's consul general in Barcelona, Teruaki Nagasaki.

Among the greatest successes of this event, Santamaria highlighted, was the latest Japanese fashion show, and the international competition "World Cosplay Summit, the actions of the singer Yuka or encounters between Taiyou Matsumoto, Issei Eifuku and Ken Nimura with his followers.
