The University of Castilla-La Mancha publishes a book about the leadership of Pep Guardiola.
Professor of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) Leonor Gallardo and also a specialist in sports leadership and Juan Carlos Cubeiro have written a book, which goes on sale today on FC Barcelona’s coach Josep 'Pep' Guardiola, and the effective management of teams.
The book is titled "Guardiola Leadership" and has been published by Encourages, reported UCLM in a press release.
The book uses Guardiola as an example in the effective management of teams and uses strategies of the trainers soccer team with which he won many football titles last year, for application in other areas of life, including business.
"In business, as in sports, we know what to do to be worthy of admiration, and we must be brave to do it," explained the authors of the book. Cubeiro Gallardo added: "Guardiola’s leadership style, and his everyday choices, help us learn much in order that in our area of activity our teams are admired.
For the authors, Guardiola, in terms of strategy means wins (results) that fans feel happy and proud (customers) through a lively and dynamic playing style (process) by converting team talent (people). Therefore they believe it is an exportable model for business and personal life sciences.
After "The Red, the triumph of a team" and "Leadership, Business and Sport", "Guardiola Leadership" is the third collaboration between Gallardo and Cubeiro editorial.
Forwarded by journalist Susan Grisso and with an after-word by the founder, presidentand the CEO of USP Hospitals, Gabriel Masfurroll, the book contains an introduction and two parts, which provide "seven keys to become an team admired" and shows "the art of creating value".
